A few weeks back some of my in-laws were in town. From Indiana, they're Mennonites. The middle daughter is 20, lacks direction, still lives at home, but is actually rather bright (and a good chess player). I'd had the thought that if the opportunity presented itself (we were ever out of mother-in-law's earshot) I'd tell her, "By the way, you should know, there's no such thing as God."
The opportunity came and went. I didn't so much chicken out as it didn't come up. Somehow, it just isn't that important to me. Still, I think I should have. Next time.
